The late Larry Flynt left a profound impact not only on the adult industry, but also on the culture and foundations of the country. After opening a series of adult clubs, he launched HUSTLER® magazine in 1974, which grew into a multi-publication empire to include mainstream magazines like Big Brother, Chic, and Code.

While he continuously fought off obscenity lawsuits, Flynt ultimately secured a major victory for freedom of speech in the US Supreme Court's unanimous, landmark decision of 1988 in favor of HUSTLER® magazine. This cemented the protections of the 1st and 14th amendments.

A decade later, Flynt opened the first HUSTLER® Hollywood erotic boutique which changed the perception of shopping for adult sexual lifestyles by offering a clean, modern atmosphere, educated staff, and high-quality products. The retail brand carries on the bold spirit of Flynt by erasing the shame about sexual wellness, bringing couples closer, and promoting open discussions and education about sex.
